The President's
Corner
The final outing of the season for the Wranglers was
held at the beautiful Salome claims. More than thirty people showed
up for a day of fun in the outdoors and the pot luck which turned
into a first class buffet. D’Nece did an excellent job of being
grill chef. The prospectors rode their quads into the claim and
hiked, detected and processed some dirt. They had a unique
experience of seeing desert big horn sheep ewes with their young and
the next day they saw some mule deer feeding on the abundant grass.
The spring flowers were all in bloom. Several couples brought
their RV’s and camped out for four days enjoying the company of the
other prospectors with a campfire each night. Jackie won the
coveted door prize, a silver wire wrapped polished stone created by
Dona Johnson. Ron Cleland had the find of the day with a 1929 wheat
penny found at bedrock level. See you all October. Watch the web
